Terms and Conditions

By downloading, installing, or using Recipe Scanner, users agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The agreement is between the user and SaasFactory LLC. Non-acceptance means the user should not use the App.

Recipe Scanner uses AI and computer vision to scan food images, provide recipes, offer nutritional information, suggest ingredient substitutions, create shopping lists, and track user preferences and cooking history.

Users must be at least 13 years old. Those under 18 need parental or guardian consent. The service complies with COPPA requirements. Parents of minor users are responsible for monitoring usage and agree to these Terms on behalf of their children.

Users may need to create accounts for certain features. Users must provide accurate information, maintain credential confidentiality, and are responsible for all account activities. Unauthorized access must be reported immediately; the company is not liable for unauthorized access losses.

The App may be used for personal cooking, recipe discovery, educational purposes, meal planning, and sharing recipes with family and friends on a non-commercial basis.

Users cannot use the App for commercial purposes without permission, upload inappropriate or copyrighted content, reverse engineer or hack the App, violate laws, redistribute recipes for profit without attribution, create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations, or upload privacy-violating or infringing images.

Users must verify recipes for safety before cooking. The service provides estimates only. Nutritional data is provided for informational purposes and professional consultation is recommended for specific dietary needs. Users assume responsibility for food safety and allergies.

Basic features are free; premium features cost $9.99 monthly. Payments process through app stores following their policies. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled 24 hours before renewal. Free trials exist for premium features.

SaasFactory LLC owns the App, algorithms, trademarks, and logos. Users retain ownership of uploaded photos but grant the company a license to process content for service provision. Anonymized data may be used for improvement. Recipes come from public databases and licensed sources; users must respect copyright when sharing outside the App.

These Terms supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and comply with Google Play Developer Policy. In conflicts, respective store terms take precedence regarding store policies. Neither Apple nor Google is responsible for the App or support.

The company strives for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Recipe Scanner is not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice. Recipe identification may contain errors. Users should verify independently. The company is not liable for cooking failures, food safety, or health consequences.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the App. The company is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, food safety issues, health consequences, or recipe inaccuracies. Some jurisdictions prohibit liability limitations.

Users indemnify the company from claims arising from their App use, Terms violations, third-party rights violations, health issues, food safety problems, or copyright infringement related to recipe sharing.

Users may stop using the App anytime and delete accounts through settings. Subscriptions continue until the billing period ends. The company may terminate access for Terms violations, fraud, illegal activity, extended inactivity, or technical/security reasons. Data may be deleted after termination.

The company may update the App for functionality and security improvements. Updates may be automatic. Continued use after updates means acceptance. We may modify these Terms with reasonable notice. Material changes are communicated through the App; continued use indicates acceptance.

The App may not be available everywhere. The company restricts access based on local laws. Users are responsible for compliance with local laws. The App may be subject to export control laws; users cannot export or re-export illegally.

These Terms are governed by Wyoming law. Disputes proceed through binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association Commercial Arbitration Rules. Users waive class action rights. Injunctive relief and small claims court are exceptions. Apple and Google are not subject to arbitration.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. The company's failure to enforce does not waive provisions. The company may assign these Terms; users cannot without consent. The company is not liable for delays from circumstances beyond reasonable control.
